    The Healgen COVID-19 antigen rapid lateral flow test identifies infected individuals in just 15 minutes to increase workplace protection against the threat of COVID-19 and minimise disruption to businesses. It is ideal for working environments where staff are unable to carry out their job from home such as factories, retail premises, delivery services, healthcare service providers and hotels.

    Approved by the UK government and Public Health England, these rapid lateral flow tests are designed to detect large numbers of SARS-CoV-2 infectious cases in a short space of time to prevent further onward transmission. The rapid test is performed using nasopharyngeal swabs and is proven to give excellent accuracy (96.3%) with a sensitivity of 86.7% and a specificity of 100%.

Taking one of these tests during self-isolation and returning a negative result does not mean they are permitted to break their isolation period.

    An antibody test is a blood test to determine if you’ve already been exposed to COVID-19. It works by detecting antibodies in your blood or serum.

    An antigen test looks for an active COVID-19 infection such as the SARS-CoV-2 virus. If your antigen test is positive, you should self-isolate at home and follow government guidance. 

    Does my Testing Kit Contain Everything I Need?

The scale of these will be impacted by the size of your workforce, the risk factors identified in your contingency plan and the effect of any requirement to isolate on your ability to continue running your business.

    As an employer, you need to decide the appropriate timescale between tests. For example, in some sectors (such as health and social care) where interactions with vulnerable individuals are common, repeat testing may be required more often.

    How Do I Store My Testing Kit?

    The kit can be stored at room temperature or refrigerated (2-30°C) - please follow instructions on each pack. The test device is stable through the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch. The test device must remain in the sealed pouch until use. 

    Please read instructions fully before starting any of the tests. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not use beyond the expiration date.
